Actividades para pre-adolescentes
Los pre-adolescentes de 12, 13 y 14 años ya no son niños necesitan particularmente actividades físicas. Lógicamente, es una de las áreas que deben cubrirse en el aprendizaje de vida de las personas con TEA. Las actividades físicas son necesarias para desarrollar habilidades para toda la vida. Los sakíes, patines, bicicletas, tablas de balanceo, etc. debieran -en alguna medida- formar parte de los regalos para pre-adolescentes con TEA.
Lógicamente, no serán los quienes hagan todas las actividades físicas en simultáneo. Pero, sin embargo, podrán aficionarse a alguna de ellas. Posiblemente, con pasión y con fijación en una en particular. De todos modos, será siempre positivo. Por tanto, deberían incentivarse en la medida de lo posible.

Juguetes para niños pre-adolescentes (12 13 y 14 años) que impliquen un desafío mental
Por otra parte, a los niños que son parte del espectro autista les suele gustar mucho actividades que tengan que ver con los coleccionables (como ya lo hemos dicho en otros artículos). Además, que les implique un desafío personal que pueden resolver en soledad. Dentro de esa categoría, aconsejamos vivamente que se les faciliten los puzzles. Especialmente, los puzzles de madera y que puedan tener que ver con las áreas que más les llaman la atención: animales contemporáneos, construcciones, dinosaurios, etc.
No es ningún misterio que el armar un rompecabezas o puzzle es beneficioso para el desarrollo motriz, la coordinación, la concentración. A esto se suma que es usual que los puzzles generen tiempos de calidad que se puede pasar con un hijo o hija con TEA sin necesidad de forzar la interacción social. Y, no lo olvidemos, es un entretenimiento que relaja, al mismo tiempo que desafía.
Otra opción: juguetes para pre-adolescentes que tenga que ver con el cuidado de la naturaleza

En la misma línea de lo que comentábamos en el párrafo anterior, este tipo de actividades que se generan con -por ejemplo- un acuario puede estar en línea con las más profundas preferencias de un niño o niña con TEA.
Es entretenido, lleva tiempo, se necesita poner atención, ser a veces extremadamente cuidados@. Todos rasgos que son súper fácil de encontrar en perfiles neurodivergentes. Pero, realmente, l@s animamos a que busquen que el terrario o acuario que elijan esté lo más alineado posible con los gustos y preferencias de la personita con TEA que lo va a recibir.
